Visit to Ren Ci Nursing Home

Dhammanusari Group of SLBT led by the Venerable K. Rathanasara; invites you to join us in visiting the Ren Ci Nursing Home on Sunday, 23 October 2011 from 2:00pm to 5:30pm with transport provided.

12:30pm 2:00pm Helpers needed to pack goodie bag items for 215 elderly folks. Note: Please have your lunch before coming
2:00pm Leave Sri Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple for Ren Ci Nursing Home by chartered bus
2:30pm 2:45pm Briefing by Xie Xiao Yun (Fund-Raising & Volunteer Development of Ren Ci Hospital) on some Dos and Don’ts for visitors to observe in the Home
2:45pm 3:00pm Wheelchair Residents to Block 501 (Multi-Purpose Hall)
3.00pm 4:00pm
  • Blessing Service and Paritta Chanting (all devotees together with residents)
  • Group 1::Interaction, goodie bag distribution & Karaoke Session(Some devotees will remain at Multi-Purpose Hall)
  • Group 2:The Venerables with some devotees will visit the blocks to distribute goodie bags and tie the blessing strings.
4:00pm Wheelchair residents back to wards to get ready for dinner
4:30pm 5:30pm Help to serve Dinner @ Block 502, 503, 504, 505, 506, 508, 509 Note: Devotees will be assigned to each block and serve together with help from nurse

Goodie bag and a Vegetarian dinner dana (offer) will be provided to the 215 residents in the nursing home. Cost for the vegetarian dinner dana (offer) has already been sponsored.

If you are keen to offer your help, you may lend a hand to help the nurses to serve dinner to the residents or can contribute the following items in each goodie bag:
  • Plastic Hook – 1x (for hooking onto wheelchair)
  • Tissue Box – 1x
  • Medicated Oil – 1x
  • Paper Fan – 1x
  • Packet Drink (Less sugar type) – 2x
  • Small Recycle NTUC Tote Bag – 1x

Dhammanusari Day Retreat 2010

Please note that the next Dhamma Talk which was supposed to be held on 12th February will be postponed to 19th Friday February, 2010 in order to adjust with Chinese New Year Celebrations.

Our next Dhamma Talk is “How to dilute your Kamma?”. Synopsis will be sent next week before the Talk.
